Introduction: I decided to make my family crest with the incorporation of my background and specifically my family's background as immigrants from Nepal. The goal was to create a crest that could describe my immediate family. This crest is more about how I see the Baral family, instead of the Baral family in the eyes of my uncles, aunts, grandparents, or my ancestry. I believe that my mom and dad have a specific story therefore the Baral family crest should be specific to them instead of incorporating ideas from everyone in the family.

Final Thoughts:
Overall I feel as if my project went very well in fact I love how it turned out like. I wanted to display the immediate side of my family and I did that by using the cactus to show how my family ended up in Arizona. The mountains at the top of the crest demonstrate the side of us that came from Nepal. The same can be said about the overall color of the crest which is red and blue which is copied from the Nepal flag. However, in an effort to show my dad's side of the family I included the name Baral and the Yellow stripe in about the middle of the crest (yellow comes from the bhutanese flag, where my dad is from). The little symbol next to the Baral name refers to the International Organization for Migration, which is an allusion to us being immigrants. The goal of this family crest is to make a rough idea of our very origins in the U.S and I hope that my future desendents will add on to it.
